On Sunday, the artist, sculptor, and welder, James Cioselk, invited me to his studio in north Houston. It's a really large space with every massive tool set you can imagine, several kilns stacked in the corner, and all kinds of metal, plastic, and other scraps of material. There's also lots of art. Lots of large beautiful sculptures made from bullet-ridden scrap metal, colorful lights, and smaller sculptures with metal frames wrapped in magically burnt plastic that can actually fit in your living room. James is an easy-going guy with a large beard who likes to laugh, have a beer, and play on his guitar. Also, he works really hard at his art. Please listen to our conversation, and tell me what you think.
